I am a small and medium-sized outdoor furniture factory in Zhejiang. We have been doing domestic sales for five years and just switched to foreign trade this year, receiving two container orders from Europe. Previously, we relied on a friend's company to handle shipments, but recently their company stopped this business, so we have to find export services on our own.

Now I don't understand what export agency really is. It took me two months just to handle documents and qualifications for self-operated export and I still haven't got it right. I also heard that many small agencies make wrong declarations after receiving payment, and I have to bear the responsibility if the goods are detained.

I don't know if export agencies can help me handle tax refunds and other matters, and whether the cost will be much higher than doing it myself. I just want to figure out what export agency service really means and what practical uses it has for a small factory like mine that just switched to foreign trade.

For traditional small and medium-sized factories doing self-operated export,in addition to advance payment for qualification handling and setting up a separate customs declaration and tax refund team, they also have to bear the capital occupation cost caused by exchange rate fluctuations and delayed tax refunds. Some non-compliant small agencies also hide service fees and charge extra inspection fees, resulting in an overall cost that is more than 10% higher in the end.

One of the core values of export agency services is to offset various cost losses through large-scale operations: enjoy customs clearance preferential treatment through bulk declaration of entire orders, lock in the settlement exchange rate in advance using exchange rate lock tools, and eligible customers can also apply for VAT deferment to reduce capital occupation of import taxes in the destination country.

For small and medium-sized export entities with an annual export volume of 500,000 to 50 million US dollars, the entry threshold only requires providing basic transaction contracts and proof of cargo ownership,no additional advance payment for team configuration is needed. We will dynamically calculate the profit ratio under different operation modes and help you choose a suitable solution.

You only need to focus on production and order receiving. All compliance operations and risk prevention are undertaken by the agency team. The hidden costs can be reduced by an average of 8%-12%,and the capital turnover efficiency is improved by more than 30% without bearing additional operational risks.

Price assessment disputes and inconsistent document logic in the export declaration process are the most common abnormal causes. We will check in advance whether the commodity code, declared price, and transaction method of all declared documents match the actual transaction, and supplement missing information in advance to avoid port detention fees caused by order rejection or deletion and re-declaration.

For orders linked to national ports, pre-inspection can be completed in advance through customs clearance integration to reduce the probability of on-site inspection. If a price assessment dispute occurs, we can sort out transaction history data, original factory invoices and other supporting materials in advance, quickly complete negotiations, avoid additional costs caused by cargo detention at the port, and maintain the stability of the enterprise's customs clearance credit rating in the long term.
