I am engaged in clothing export, and I recently hired an agent company to handle my shipments. The goods have been dispatched now, but I have no idea how to check the progress.

I asked the agent earlier, and they said the customs declaration has been submitted, but I want to confirm by myself whether the declaration form has been approved, and where the shipment is currently. Besides, for tax refund, when will it be credited to my account, and where can I check the refund progress?

Last time, I almost missed the amendment deadline because I failed to check in time, so I am really worried this time. I want to know where I can check all this information, preferably with real-time updates, so I don't have to ask the agent every time, which is too troublesome.

For agent export information check in 2026,you need to cover all link nodes, and the core channels are divided into three categories: official systems, exclusive agent platforms and third-party tools. The query logic for each node varies, which needs to be accurately matched with your demands.

First is customs declaration progress inquiry: You can enter the 18-digit customs declaration number or bill of lading number in the "Customs Declaration Status Inquiry" module of the 2026 version of General Administration of Customs "Single Window" to check the status of each link of "submission → review → inspection → release" in real time. If the agent adopts integrated customs clearance, you can also check the transshipment nodes of ports across the country. Please note that you can download the electronic customs declaration form on the "Single Window" within 3 working days after release (paper versions have been completely abolished in 2026).

Second is logistics node inquiry: The agent will provide an exclusive logistics tracking link (connected to the 2026 API system of shipping companies/airlines),where you can check the real-time location of "loading → transshipment → port arrival → container pickup",and also view the container detention fee warning synchronously (shipping companies have uniformly stored the container detention fee calculation logic via blockchain in 2026). The cargo ownership status can be checked through "bill of lading endorsement inquiry" (the agent uploads electronic vouchers to the exclusive platform) to avoid cargo ownership disputes.

Then is tax refund progress inquiry: Full-process visualization of export tax refunds has been realized in 2026. You can enter the customs declaration number and invoice number in the "Export Tax Refund Progress Inquiry" module of the electronic tax bureau to check each link of "pre-declaration → review → letter verification → account credit". If the agent handles it on your behalf, you can ask them to grant you the authorized inquiry permission of the electronic tax bureau (the agent authorization function was launched in 2026). The progress of letter verification can be queried separately in the "Tax Letter Verification System" to avoid delays.

Finally is compliance record inquiry: You can check the agent's customs declaration error rate, tax refund declaration accuracy rate and other information in the "Compliance File" module of China International Trade Single Window. If dangerous goods are involved, you can also check the electronic filing of "Dangerous Goods Packaging Appraisal Report" (nationally networked in 2026).

Key reminder: All inquiries need to ensure "four-stream consistency" (customs declaration form, bill of lading, invoice, contract). If there is an abnormal node (such as overtime inspection),you can immediately contact the on-site customs via the agent to avoid port detention (port detention fee increases by 0.5% per day in 2026,which requires close attention).

The core of customs declaration progress inquiry in 2026 is the "Real-time Customs Declaration Status Dashboard" of the "Single Window", and 3 details need attention: First, the customs declaration number should be distinguished between "port customs declaration form" and "integrated customs declaration form".

The former has 18 digits, and the latter carries the "integrated customs clearance" mark; Second, if the price review is questioned, you can check the customs price reference basis in the "Price Review Dispute Inquiry" section (the dutiable price range of similar commodities has been disclosed in 2026); Third, the progress of declaration deletion and re-submission needs to be queried in the "Declaration Error Correction" module to avoid exceeding the 7 working day correction time limit. If the customs declaration form is suspended, you can check whether the suspension is caused by inconsistent documents or classification errors, and you need to submit supplementary materials within 3 working days, otherwise it will affect the tax refund.

In 2026, logistics node inquiry needs to combine the "shipping company API system" and exclusive agent platform, focusing on 3 nodes: First, after loading confirmation, check the container location via satellite Internet of Things (accuracy of 10 meters); Second, for the container replacement status at the transshipment port, the transshipment inspection results of Southeast Asia routes have been uploaded synchronously; Third, for container pickup reservation after port arrival, you can check the "free storage period countdown" on the agent platform (unified 7 days, container detention fee will be charged after expiration).

The key to cargo ownership transfer is the endorsement of electronic bill of lading. You need to check the endorsement time and recipient on the agent platform, and customs clearance cannot be processed without endorsement (electronic bills of lading have completely replaced paper ones in 2026).

The core of export tax refund progress inquiry in 2026 is the "Full-process Tax Refund Dashboard" of the electronic tax bureau, and 4 links need attention: First, check the "pre-declaration verification result" after pre-declaration (the commodity code of the invoice and customs declaration form must be consistent); Second, if letter verification is required in the review link, check the object of letter verification and reply time (average 10 working days); Third, check the "tax refund amount confirmation" before the tax refund is credited (exemption, credit and refund are calculated automatically); Fourth, check the "electronic filing record" after tax refund (saved for 5 years and archived automatically). The agent needs to provide a tax refund authorization letter when handling on behalf of the enterprise, to avoid operation errors leading to delays.

In 2026, the progress of foreign exchange receipt and payment for agent export can be queried through the "State Administration of Foreign Exchange Digital Service Platform", and 3 key points need attention: First, check the "foreign exchange receipt declaration status" after receiving foreign exchange (automatic declaration, need to confirm it is consistent with the customs declaration form); Second, check the "foreign exchange settlement and account reconciliation" for settlement progress (exchange rate is updated in real time); Third, check the transaction records of offshore account receipt and payment (linked with domestic accounts). Cross-border RMB settlement can check the payment progress through CIPS, covering 90% of global trade partners, to avoid exchange rate fluctuation losses.

In 2026, the legal records of agent export can be queried through the "International Trade Law Database", focusing on 3 aspects: First, whether the agency agreement complies with the 2025 version of Regulations on Foreign Trade Agency; Second, the agent's past cargo ownership dispute cases; Third, force majeure recognition records (nationally networked).

For letters of credit, you can check the "soft clause detection results" (automatically detected in 2026) to avoid payment refusal. If intellectual property rights are involved, you can check the customs protection filing status to avoid goods detention due to infringement.

In 2026, the port inspection progress can be queried through the "Customs On-site Inspection System", and 3 details need attention: First, the inspection notification needs to be confirmed within 2 hours (the agent's receiving time can be checked); Second, the inspection scope is visualized (full container unloading / partial container unloading); Third, the inspection result feedback (release / sample delivery, sample delivery results will be available within 3 working days).

If problems are found during inspection, check the rectification records (completed within 5 working days, otherwise the agent's inspection credit score will be deducted). For dangerous goods inspection, you can check the packaging appraisal report number to avoid goods detention due to non-compliant packaging.
